It is more than just a new putter grip. It is also a method that links the hands, the putter grip and the swing into one complete unit.

Conventional method
When you putt with one hand lower than the other, your shoulders are not level, your body is not symmetrical, you are not naturally in balance. You miss more putts.

No Left Hand Breakdown
The Pure Pendulum System eliminates one of the most persistent causes of missed putts - the "breaking down" of the left hand.

Here's why: With conventional grips, the lower right hand has more leverage to overpower the left wrist. With the PPS, the palms face each other, so the right hand loses its leverage. Any force it exerts is pushed directly against the left hand. This helps maintain the correct left-hand angle through impact for a more consistent putting stroke.

Better Accuracy

1. "Seeing the line". The Pure Pendulum X1 Grip automatically brings you closer to the ball, with your eyes directly over it. You see the desired path of the putt more easily and as a result, make more putts.

2. Squared putter face. To putt accurately, the putter face must be set up at right angles to the putting line. As you look down at address, the thumbs, fingers and shaft are all vertical lines. This creates a sighting aid that helps to ensure that the putter face is indeed square to the desired path.

3. Right swing path. The Pure Pendulum System automatically keeps the putter head on the proper swing path. Do nothing to interfere with the stroke. The laws of physics will ensure the putter head stays on the true swing path and contacts the ball dead center.

Better Distance Control

The PPS lets you control distance better than conventional grips through:

Consistency. To control distance with the PPS, you only need to learn how far back the putter has to be taken to provide the appropriate amount of force needed to deliver the ball to the hole. The putter will swing forward and through the ball with the same speed every time.

More forgiveness. The shorter the backswing, the less margin of error in judging the correct weight to be applied to the ball. The Pure Pendulum System encourages a longer backswing, so you have more latitude in the distance when you take the putter back.

With the Pure Pendulum System, you place the putter securely in the palms. Since tension affects fingers more than palms, the PPS automatically promotes a light, tension-free grip.

Feel is also provided by the index and middle fingers extending down the grip. This makes the putter shaft become another "finger", positioned comfortably between the extended fingers of the hand.

The fact that the PPS grip is symmetrical ensures proper alignment. Everything is at right angles to each other: The grip, putter and hands form a vertical line while the feet, arms, shoulders and body form a horizontal line, parallel to the path of the ball. Everything "looks" right.

Correct ball position is automatic and virtually fool proof. With the Pure Pendulum stroke, the bottom of the arc will occur at the same spot every time. 1. Do Pure Pendulum X1 Grips conform to USGA Rules?
Yes. Pure Pendulum X1 Grips and Pure 1 Putters are both USGA conforming.

2. The concept makes a lot of sense for short putts, but what about long lag putts?
No problem. At first you might leave some long putts a bit short, but don't panic. Simply take the putter back a bit farther than usual. This will provide all the power you need.

Technical Specifications

Available lengths: 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35 inches.

Usually it's better to order lengths 1 to 2 inches shorter than your normal length. This is because the Pure Pendulum method teaches that you grip the putter grip up the middle of the palm, not across the fingers (as conventional methods). The putter is also more vertical (78 degrees vs normal 74).
All this brings the hands closer to the ball and makes for a shorter putter.
